Wedding Invites

As I said previously, my first forage into paper crafting was prompted by my up coming wedding and wanting to make my own stationary.

My colour scheme is Navy and Silver and after some experimenting I found that embossing with silver on navy card stock looked very striking. For the invitations, I knew I wanted something simple but effective and which would be easily repeatable for the large number of guests we were inviting.

This is what I came up with - what do you think?

The left site is a roller stamp from Stampin' Up called wedding words. I firstly stamped it with VersaMark ink and then I heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

The word invitation is a rubber stamp from hobby craft, which I again stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed.

If you haven't tried heat embossing before, it is a very simple but effective technique. You use a heat setting tool which effectively melts the embossing powder on to the page and gives a lovely embossed effect.

I rounded the corners with a simple punch to give a slightly softer look.

The invitations were posted out a few weeks ago and the response has been lovely so far!

New customers placing their first order with me in January get a fantastic 10% off - no catches, as simple as that! Orders need to be placed through me rather than on line so please, get in touch.

  1. Just beautiful! I was always afraid of getting into the embossing stuff, but I just love it now!

  2. Oh, you made me remember my wedding. I chose my dress so carefully that it seemed to me that my dress would be really the best in the world. Then I found https://bellethemagazine.com/2018/04/10-wedding-songs-reception-playlist.html my bachelorette party became perfect too! So I wasn't worry any minute! I just enjoyed my party and my wedding more than it possible.
