Stampin Up UK - Papillon Potpourri - HELLO!

Stampin Up UK - Papillon Potpourri - HELLO!

I've had quite a few ladies place Stampin Up orders with me recently, a few who I don't know personally, so I thought I'd make a little card to say hello.

I've stamped the butterfly randomly on a scrap of Marina Mist Card stock  and then punched out the larger version and mounted it on a punched circle of Whisper White. I rolled the edges of the circle in the ink pad to soften the edges a little and added a few pearls for that essential bling.

The ribbon is actually Island Indigo but it matches pretty well I think. I haven't been too inspired by the Chevron Ribbon for cards recently (although I love it for packaging!) but really like it here. It works well to mask the join between the two pieces of layered card stock.

Hello is from another old favourite set, Four You.

I've sent a few of these out already - hope the recipients enjoy and are inspired by them.

Stampin' Up UK Christmas Ornament Box

Stampin' Up UK Christmas Ornament Box

After getting such positive feedback from my last box, I decided to make a more Christmas themed version and am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

I used cherry cobbler and old olive and the Christmas Ornament stamp set and matching punch.

I love the tag stamp in this set and will be making lots in a variety of colours for all my Christmas presents this year.

In my husband's family (still get a little thrill using the word husband!), they have a little tradition where everybody brings a little gift and we play a game over dinner where everybody ends up with something - the trick is to bring a pretty naff gift but wrap it up well so everybody fights over getting that gift and then gets a shock when they open it.

I think this little box will be perfect for that!

I love making my own gift wrap - so economical and so pretty!

In this case I used the mosaic madness stamp set and just randomly stamped using two of the colours, melon mambo and smokey slate and two different stamps. The paper is basic brown packing paper.

It is all tied up using the sparkly silver ribbon from the holiday mini.

I also made a matching card using the coordinating punch and the same colours. Love how easy the matching punch makes making cards.

Stampin' Up UK Papillion Potpourri Winning Box!

Stampin' Up UK Papillon Potpourri Winning Box!

My Stampin' Up leader recently set her team a challenge to design something based on inspiration around our home.

To begin with I was completely stumped and had real crafter's block!

But then I saw a decorative tin on a shelf in my cupboard, it had been there forever, I think it was a Christmas Gift one year with a hot chocolate gift set in it. The base was pure pear pizzaz and lid was bright white.

I started playing around with those colours and the much loved Papillon Potpourri stamp set and the box attached was the result.

I love the way it really show cases the pear pizzaz chevron ribbon. I admit I haven't been too inspired by this ribbon for cards but love it for gift wrap.

I was blown away to find out today that my box had won the competition! A huge thank you to everybody that voted for it (and therefore me!).

If you would like to make your own, I have a short video here:

Stampin Up UK - Missing in Action!

Stampin Up UK - Missing in Action

Well it has been a little while since I made a blog post. Hopefully you'll forgive me as something quite important happened to me last week - I married my soul mate!

It was the most wonderful day - we had an absolutely fantastic time.

All my crafting went down very well, it was lovely hearing all the comments about the little details that our guests really seemed to appreciate :) Made it all very worthwhile.

We're still waiting for the professional pictures but here are few more our guests took throughout the day.

I'll be back with more crafting soon.
