And how amazing are the Sale-a-bration goodies?

This is a card I made using three of them - the banner stamp and matching punch and the sentiment is also from a fab Sale-a-bration set.

The DSP is from the new Celebrations mini-catalogue which launched today - it is a fantastic mini-stack!

Colours are pool party and crumb cake - a very simple card but I really like it.

Enjoy Sale-a-bration everybody :)

Stampin' Up UK, Wedding Showcase, Day Three, Wine and Cocktail Menus

Stampin' Up UK, Wedding Showcase, Day Three, Wine and Cocktail Menus

It is fair to say that my husband and I enjoy a drink or two, especially good wine and so we had to put on something special for our wedding. Luckily the hotel we held the reception at was more than happy for us to do corkage. We therefore spent many an enjoyable evening sampling lots of champagne and wine - with a little help from our friends at Reserve on Burton Road in Didsbury.

I made some little menu cards to go on the tables with some basic information on the wines and other drinks that were available.

This used the great Happy Hour Stamp Set from Stampin' Up and continues the wedding colour themes of blue and silver.

Here they are in use on the day, the larger one is a list of all the drinks available and the small one details the wines.

Remember - Sale-a-bration starts tomorrow! Check back for a very special offer from me :)

Stampin' Up UK, Wedding Showcase, Day Two, Seating Plans and Place Cards

Stampin' Up UK, Wedding Showcase, Day Two, Seating Plans and Place Cards

Did you enjoy yesterday's post? I got some lovely messages - thank you all.

Today, I'm going to show you my seating plan and place cards. The seating plan idea came from an idea I saw in a weddings magazine - I admit to becoming a little bit obsessed with buying those, and the place cards evolved from the seating plan!

Rather than just having a list of names for the seating plan, I wanted to use a photograph of everybody. It was quite a challenge getting the right photos! I wanted to use old or funny (and in most cases both) pictures of all the guests. It was actually really lovely to spend time going through old pictures! There were a few 80's mullets and moustaches in there and I also used a lot of pictures of guests on their wedding days, and this went down really well.

Once I'd collected all the pictures, I punched them out using the Stampin' Up Decorative label punch. Many hours were spent at the photo kiosk in Boots, sizing the photos just right so I got a good punched image.

I then strung them up on ribbon layed out in the tables groups using small silver clothes pegs. I think it looked very effective and the feedback we got was excellent. A top tip however, I would stick each of the photos down using a little foam dimensional - I was very hard to transport with the photos just pegged on. The pegs were great for swapping people around so we could get a good balance on each table though but once decided, I wish I'd stuck them down!

As we were giving each of our guests a choice of menu which they picked several months ago, I want to ensure that people remembered, so encorporated the menu choice into the name card and also used a little picture of each guest, again punched out using the decorative label punch. The one above is the MIL's with a photo of her when she was a little girl and the one below is mine, with a picture of little me - just realised we picked the same food, must be a good omen!

They were real talking points when people sat down and as we mixed up our guests quite a lot, so people didn't really know each other on tables, they provided a fantastic ice breaker as this picture shows!

If you would like to make your own stationary for your wedding, I would love to help, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Remember new customers get 10% off their first Stampin' Up order placed through me!

Stampin Up UK, Wedding Showcase!

Stampin Up UK, Wedding Showcase!

As regular readers of my blog will know, I first got into papercrafting when I decided to make my wedding stationary. I was looking through our professional pictures last week and realised there were some great shots of my papercrafting so thought it might be a nice idea to do a few posts to showcase it. I also don't need an excuse to show off my wedding pictures!

My colour scheme was navy, blue and silver, the order of service coordinates with the invite which you can read about HERE

These were a real labour of love, made in batches over several weeks! We had the order of services printed locally and I gave them several packs of Stampin' Up Night of Navy card stock which they used as the cover when assembling the booklets.

The central panel is made with the Stampin' Up Wedding Words wheel which I then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Here are a few pictures of them in use - yes I blubbed walking down the aisle, my dad died of cancer just 6 months earlier, so walking down the aisle without him was tough although my brother did a great job.

If you would like to make your own stationary for your wedding, I would love to help, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Remember new customers get 10% off their first Stampin' Up order placed through me!

Come back tomorrow for more of my wedding crafting but I'll leave you today with a photo showing how my shoes also coordinated with the colour scheme!

Stampin' Up UK, Owl says hi to a Sale-a-bration Preview!

Stampin' Up UK, Sale-a-bration Preview!

Sale-a-bration is possibly the most exciting period in the Stampin' Up Catalogue! For every £45 you spend on product you get a choice of a fantastic free item and this card previews two of them! I will be running a very special offer along side Sale-a-bration so check back here soon to find out more!

I love the Owl builder punch, he is so cute and versatile, don't you think? I made two versions here, one with little hat and another with a cute bow in her hair. I added a wing using a section made from the scallop circle punch and layering it behind the owl shape.

The little banners are made using two of the fantastic Sale-a-bration products, a fantastic stamp set and matching punch - did I mention these are FREE when you spend £45 or more. The Happy Birthday banner is from a wonderful hostess set, while it is a little longer than the punch, it is the same with so with some clever cutting and manovering, I could use the punch to penant the end.

Don't forget, all new customers ordering from me the first time this month, get 10% off their order! The order needs to be placed through me, it won't work for on-line orders, so please get in touch.

Stampin' Up UK, Engagements sets Hearts a Flutter!

Stampin' Up UK, Engagements sets Hearts a Flutter!

Somebody recently told me that more people get engaged at Christmas than at any other time of year, my mum and dad did, many years ago and so did some friends of our just this Christmas gone.

This is a super quick card I made for them as a congratulations using my new Hearts a Flutter set from Stampin' Up.

The colour combination is pink pirouette, smokey slate and melon mambo. The hearts are just stamped randomly and then I have added the 'Congratulations' using Black Staz On across the middle.

I filled in the natural spaces between the hearts with various sizes of rhinestones to give a little sparkle before layering the whisper white layer on a mats of smokey slate on a pink card blank.

Hope the recipients like it :)

Stampin Up UK, Flower Shop Monocromatic Spectrum!

Stampin Up UK, Flower Shop Monochromatic Spectrum!

Well that is a mouthful of a blog title! And is it still monochrome if it isn't black and white?

Do you remember this card I shared a little while ago?

Well I loved it so much I decided to recreate it in a few other colours, Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum and Melon Mambo to be exact!

Which is your favourite, I think I like the Night of Navy best - must do, it is front and centre in all of my pictures!

If you would like to have a go at recreating these cards yourself, I'd be delighted to introduce you to the world of Stampin' Up.

Don't forget, all new customers ordering from me the first time this month, get 10% off their order! The order needs to be placed through me, it won't work for on-line orders.

These are all my flower shop cards I've made over the last few days - which is your favourite?

Stampin' Up UK, Flower Shop, Less is more!

Stampin' Up UK, Flower Shop, Less is more!

I got a little sick of making Thank You Cards so today I mixed up the sentiments a bit. I also wanted to show how very simple and easy to make cards can still be pretty stunning.

These cards were inspired by this card I showed you earlier but I wanted to mix up the colour a little. The first combination is perfect plum and so saffron.

The second is a lot brigher using Melon Mambo and Pacific Point.

I think they both look great and I think, really perfect for somebody new to card making to try.

What do you think? I might play around with some other colour combinations.

Remember, 10% discount for anybody placing an order with me for the first time in January, get in touch directly to take advantage of this catch free offer!

Stampin' Up Uk, Delightful Daffodil Flower Shop

Stampin' Up Uk, Delightful Daffodil Flower Shop

As you may know, I'm pretty new to crafting myself having only really become hooked about 6 months ago when I started making my wedding stationary.

I ordered some Staz On ink for the first time last week and when it arrived today, I couldn't wait to play. Staz On is a alcohol based ink that gives a really good black print, much better than I am told you get with standard water based ink.

I love the combination of the bright Daffodil delight card stock and ribbon combined with the deep black Staz On in this card.

I tried a few different colour combinations but the daffodil delight is by far my favourite, what do you think?

If you are interested in making any of these cards, please do not hesitate to get in touch, I love sharing Stampin' Up and card making with others.

Remember, all new customers get 10% of their first order through me in January! No catches, just as simple as that, orders need to placed through me rather than on line so please don't hesitate to get in touch craftycarolinecreates@gmail.com

Stampin Up UK, Flower Shop

Stampin Up UK, Flower Shop

I loved the colour combo on the card I showed you yesterday so decided to make another card using the same three colours, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Pool Party.

The colours really remind me of spring and I love the way the piece of pool party ribbon adds a bit of texture while continuing the colour theme. The way the colours coordinate so well is one of things I really love about Stampin' Up

The thank you comes from the Sassy Salutations set which I used a lot on my Christmas Cards.

That is it from me today, got to make a start on writing these cards!

Stampin Up UK, Denmark Bound Flower Shop

Stampin Up UK, Post Worthy Flower Shop

Did you know that my husband is Danish? We alternate Christmas and this year we were Denmark bound. The traditions are very different to what I'm used to in the UK, for a start the celebrations are on the evening of 24th December and dinner starts with rice porridge followed by duck and pork and then NO PUDDING!!

One thing we do have in common is presents - although in Denmark they are opened after dinner on 24th, and little Eva was very lucky to recieve lots (how we avoided excess baggage charges on the way home I do no know!).

I needed to come up with a Thank You card to send to Denmark which I knew would stand up to the careful handling of the postage service!

I love the colour combination on this card, So saffron, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party, I think it looks very fresh.

The card is completely flat but I have added some dimension with some very simple score lines above and below the flowers.

I wish Stampin' Up made some Danish Sentiment stamps - I can but hope, it would be nice to say 'Tak' rather than Thank You, maybe I could have a go making my own with the new Stamp Carving Kit.

Stampin Up UK, Wild Flower Shop Thanks!

Stampin Up UK, Wild Flower Shop Thanks!

When ever I sit down to craft, choosing just the right colour combination can often be the bit that takes me the longest so with this card, I thought I'd see what I could make using just one colour and Whisper White of course, just one colour would be a bit of a stretch (although I might try it one day!).

I picked Wild Wasabi but I think I am going to recreate this card in a few other colours as I really love the way it has come out.

The flowers are stamped and then punched before being stuck onto a layer of Wild Wasabi card which in turn is then layered onto another layer of Wild Wasabi which is the same length but just a little wider to give that bordered effect.

I've added a little white bakers twine and some crystal embelishments either site of the sentiment. I do think I would like to have maybe backed the sentiment in a coordinating colour - maybe something else to try - watch this space!

What do you think? I really like this one, if you'd like to recreate it yourself, don't hesitate, pop over to my online shop and order 24/7 or please get in touch, I'd love to place your order for you and chat crafting at the same time.

New customers placing their first order with me in January get a fantastic 10% off - no catches, as simple as that! Orders need to be placed through me rather than on line so please, get in touch.

Stampin' Up UK, Flower Shop Thanks!

Stampin' Up UK, Flower Shop Resurrected with Thanks!

The Flower Shop stamp set was one of the first I ever bought from Stampin' Up and while I love it, it has been a bit neglected of late so I decided to use it for this years Christmas Thank you cards.

Trust me when you have a 17 month old daughter, you need a lot of thank you cards! She was one spoilt (loved my mum keeps telling me) little girl!

I really love this card - it was so simple to make but looks really effective and has a lot of dimension.

I layered a matt of basic black on to whisper white card stock and then added an extra mat of whisper white on top.

The flowers are So Saffron, a colour I've not used a lot before but I tried this in Daffodil Delight first and it was too bright.

The small black circle is punched from basic black card stock and is topped with a pearl - this really lifts the card I think.

It is all finished off with a simple sentiment in smoky slate.

What do you think? Hopefully it will be a well recieved as the present was.

I'll be show casing some more flower shop cards over the next few days and if you'd like to buy Stampin' Up products to make some similar cards of your own pop over to my on-line shop or get in touch, I'd be delighted to help.
