Stampin' Up UK, Bright Petite Petals Card Gift Set - don't forget free ink!

Stampin' Up UK, Bright Petite Petals Card Gift Set.

Thank you so much for all your nice messages and comments about this gift set box I showed you yesterday. I am so pleased you all liked it so much.

Today I am going to show you the three cards I made to go inside the box.

This first is possibly my favourite - such a simple yet effective card.

I've stuck to the same three colours for the box and the cards, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry. I love how these three bright colours go together so well.

Which one do you like best? I'd be pleased to recieve any of them.

Stampin Up UK, Handmade Card Gift Box Set - Tutorial

Stampin Up UK, Handmade Card Gift Box Set.

I recently made a set of cards all in a similar colour theme and thought they would make a perfect gift so I also designed a gift box which would fit 10.5cm by 14.5cm cards perfectly along with the envelopes I made with the Stampin' Up Punch Board.

If you would like to make your own version I have a step by step video here:

You can the either just tuck the flap inside the box, like in the first example I made or you can punch two holes like below, I've used the 1/2 inch circle and then thread coordinating ribbon through the holes and tie a box or in my case a knot, to keep the box closed.

And here is the card set I made to go in this box.

And the two boxes are shown here side by side - they are going to make such lovely gifts.

I'll be showcasing the cards in a little more detail over the coming few days.

If you would like to buy any of the supplies to make these boxes, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Stampin Up UK, Petit Petals Sale-a-bration Birthday - FREE INK OFFER!!

Stampin Up UK, Petit Petals Sale-a-bration Birthday

I grabbed an unexpected half hour of crafting this afternoon when hubby volunteered to go to Sainsbury's and took the baby with him. While the crafting is an unexpected treat, the downside is that I am not quite sure what we will be eating this week! Hubby isn't really known for sticking to shopping lists and tends to buy either Basics or Taste the Difference products and not much in between so we may well be eating Basic's beans and off toasted Taste the Difference Foccacia!

Anyway - this is what I came up with in the blissful time I had.

The colours are Island Indigo, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry, I wanted something bright and fun as it is quite a miserable day weather wise today. I am loving the new petit petals stamp set and matching punch.

I pennanted the edge of the 'Birthday' banner using the banner punch free with Sale-a-bration. The Sentiment stamp is also a sale-a-bration freebie, you can pick one for every £45 you spend until 31st March with Stampin Up - and remember you get a free ink pad from me with every £45 you spend too!

This picture really shows the depth of layering on the front of this card. And the inside got a little bit of action too, I alwasy forget about the inside of cards.

Well, I can hear the car pulling up so I'd best be off to see what delights we have!

Don't hesitate to get in touch!

Stampin' Up UK, Tag Topper Box

Stampin' Up UK, Tag Topper Box

I shared this little box on facebook yesterday with some crafting friends and got a great response and requests for a tutorial - so here goes, watch the video and see the instructions below

Start with a peice of card stock, 25cm by 15 cm or 10 inches by 6 inches

Score along the long side at 2cm, 5cm, 10cm, 15cm, 20cm and 23cm; 3/4inch, 2inch, 4inch, 6inch, 8 inch and 9 and 1/4inch.

Score along the short side at 5cm and 10cm; 2inch and 4inch.

It should look something like this:

You then need to cut along the score lines I have highlighted in white in the picture below:

You should end up with a box net which looks like this:

Next, punch the ends of the longest section using the wonderful Scallop Tag Topper Punch from Stampin Up - click HERE to head over to my on-line shop if you need to buy one - and remember my FREE INK offer at the bottom of my blog for all purchases!

I then trimmed down the side flaps slightly to make assembly that little bit easier:

You can then fold your box up, I used Tombow glue to seal it closed.

I decorated mine using 4 peices of DSP, this one is lovely and is from the new Watercolour wonder set from Stampin' Up. The pieces are 4.5cm by 4.5cm. The little flower is actually not stamped, I just punched out one of the flower centers from the DSP and topped it with a lovely pearl. I tied this one closed with some silver ribbon.

And here they are both together.

I'd love to see your versions - happy crafting!

This is a special offer just from me :) Order on line or through my on-line store but then drop me a note with the colour ink you'd like and it will be winging its way to you :)

Just a quick post from me today to show you a card I made for my 18 month old daughter to give to my Gran, her Great Gran who turned 84 yesterday.

We had a lovely family Sunday Lunch at my mums yesterday to celebrate with 4 generations all tucking into to two roast chickens and I was responsible for the Yorkshire Puddings which came out so well - was an absolute fluke but I was still very proud.

The card is a mixture of perfect plum and pear pizzazz and the letters are stamped with the artisan label punch.
