Pop-up Gift Card Holder Tutorial using Crazy About You from Stampin' Up

Pop-up Gift Card Holder Tutorial using Crazy About You from Stampin' Up

I seem to find it increasingly difficult to come up with gift ideas for friends birthdays these days - is it just me or does everybody have everything all of a sudden?

I therefore love the theory of gift cards but they can often seem a little underwhelming when you hand it over.

Today's project is one solution to that problem - it looks like an ordinary card but when you open it up, the gift card pops up - adding that wow factor.

I've used one of the more subtle patterns from the Bohemian DSP for this card. As you may know, I don't really 'do' DSP but I can't seem to stop using these papers at the moment!

The flowers come from the ever useful Crazy About You set, the matching Flower Medallion punch makes cutting these out super simple.

I've also used my favourite sentiments stamp of the moment too, Cottage Greetings.

The colours? Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay.

Here is a quick video to show you just how to do - please excuse the major blooper!

  1. Hi , great tutorial but maybe you could have added in the dimensions of the card itself ... one piece is no good without the other unfortunately ...

  2. Rather than stop with card design, find out what additional merchandising tools are available. Some card suppliers will have an array of card carriers and hangers, display racks, posters, signage and envelopes that will help you drive awareness and sales.
