Elegant Lined Gift Box with Flush Fitting Lid - Video Tutorial using Flowering Flourishes from Stampin' Up

Elegant Lined Gift Box with Flush Fitting Lid - Video Tutorial using Flowering Flourishes from Stampin' Up

I am really pleased with the way that this box turned out and hope you like it too.

I bought the candle inside the box as a small gift for a friend I hadn't seen for a while and of course I had to make a special box for it.

I wanted to make a box with a flush fitting lid, I'd never made one before but I'm quite pleased with how it worked out.

I like the way the pattern on the lid continues when you lift it off.

I didn't like the way you could see the glues flaps inside the box though so came up with this way to line it so it looks perfectly neat inside.

I think it looks really elegant and while I used mine for a candle - you can fit so many other things inside.
