Flowering Tag Topper Gift Box for Handmade Cards, Tutorial - Stampin' Up UK

Flowering Tag Topper Gift Box for Handmade Cards, Tutorial - Stampin' Up UK

I shared the video for making this cute little gift set of cards a few weeks ago but the blog post seems to have randomly vanished - how odd, so here it is again, or as much as I can remember writing the first time anyway!

Both boxes are the same size, designed to take UK A6 or US A2 card and their matching envelopes. I popped six cards in the box but there was room to spare.

My colour combinations are Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Smokey Slate; Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, I am going to really miss the chevron ribbon. It is an absolute bargain on the retiring list however, if like me you would like to stock up!

Hope you enjoy the video if you haven't seen it before.

Dimensions are at the bottom of this post as always, stamps used are Petite Petals and its big brother, Flower Shop, both of which have matching punches.

Cherry On Top Handmade Father's Day Gift Box

Cherry On Top Handmade Father's Day Gift Box

I often find it difficult to come up with crafty items with a male theme but with Father's Day just around the corner I wanted to make a gift box that any guy would be pleased to recieve and I am quite happy with the way this project worked out.

I love the way the sentiment looks l just like a tie pin.

I have used the fabulous new DSP stack called Cherry On Top for the lid of the box. This is possibly the most versitile DSP stack SU have ever produced. There really is a pattern for ever occassion.

I've used two of the more subtile designs here which I think look just like shirt material.

I've also used one of the brand new in-colours, Cucumber Crush, a fabulous bright green colour.

The tie itself is made using another fabulous new product, the banner punch - make sure to watch the video to see this excellent new item in action.

Dimensions are:

DSP measures 6 x 6
Score on all four sides at 3/8 inch and 1 inch

Card stock measures 7 17/18 inch
Score on all four sides at 2 inches.

Painted Petals - Grab it before it is too late!

Painted Petals - Grab it before it is too late!

I must admit I was a little late to the Painted Petals party but one I had my hands on this stamp set I fell in love.

I was sure this set would carry over from the seasonal mini to the main catalogue which launches on 2nd June but alas this is not the case (my face is sad just writing this!)

That means that if you want to buy this wonderful set, you need to get in quick before it disappears for good.

If this set is on your wish list - act now and ensure you don't miss out. I love this set and know you won't be disappointed!

If you'd like to make the box that houses this card set, I have a YouTube video here:

Retiring Items De-stash - Buy One Get One Free Offer, Stampin' Up UK!

Whoop Whoop! The fabulous brand new Stampin' Up Catalogue is just around the corner. It launches on June 2nd and I got my hands on a physical copy for the first time yesterday. I don't know about you but there is just something special about holding the physical copy in your hands. Despite having seen an on-line version a few weeks ago, it all just looked so much better in print.

Anyway, I digress, after making my wish list and seeing just how long it is, I realised a serious clear out was needed of my old stamp sets to make room, and money, for all the lovely new sets.

I was just going to post everything on ebay after 2nd June but then I thought, why not let my customers and readers have first nabs and also why not help them get some of the things on their wish list from the new catalogue at the same time?

So this year, I am listing all of the retiring items I can bear to part with, a few are staying as I love them too much; on my blog and offering all you lovely readers the first chance to buy them. Additionally, for every penny you spend on my retiring items, you will also get the same amount of credit to spend on items in the new catalogue - sounds pretty sweet doesn't it.

There are no catches, it really is a simple as that. There are some finer details at the bottom of this post but no catches - I promise!

Handmade Chunky Card Gift Box Tutorial with Stampin' Up Painted Petals and Petal Potpourri

Handmade Chunky Card Gift Box Tutorial with Stampin' Up Painted Petals and Petal Potpourri

If you have been reading my blog and watching my YouTube videos recently you'll know I've been making quite a few gift boxes for sets of hand made cards.

Well I recently made some cards which had quite a few layers and embellishments and wanted to make a box which would comfortably fit these without squishing them.

This box is 2inches wide at the base but it is pretty much filled by just four cards with lots of layers.

I made the version with Crumb Cake and Blackberry Bliss first and then I wanted to make a brighter, bolder version which is where the Marina Mist and Real Red version came in - with just a hint of crushed curry. The video to make it is here:

I love this ghost shadow technique with the painted petals - I have a YouTube video showing how to do this.

Neither the Painted Petals set or the Petal Potpourri stamp sets have made it into the new annual catalogue so they will disappear when the season finished in June.

If these have been on your wish list for a while, buy them now before they disappear for ever!

It would be my pleasure to help you order any Stampin' Up products.

You can email me at craftycarolinecreates@gmail.com or shop 24/7 via my online HERE.
