Tangelo Twist is Kinda Eclectic - Card Idea using Kinda Eclectic by Stampin Up

Tangelo Twist is Kinda Eclectic - Card Idea using Kinda Eclectic by Stampin Up

This is a card I made quite a while a go but haven't yet shared. I was inspired by something similar I saw on Pinterest.

It uses the amazing Kinda Eclectic stamp set.

The card base is Tangelo Twist which is also the colour which the starburst is stamped in along with the greeting.

The other colours I've used are Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate.

What do you think?

Clutch Bag Gift Box Tutorial, Using Flowering Flourishes by Stampin' Up

Clutch Bag Gift Box Tutorial, Using Flowering Flourishes by Stampin' Up

I have had a few lovely ladies join my Stampin' Up team recently and I wanted to send out a little gift to them all along with some SU goodies to thank them for choosing me and my team.

Of course, I had to make some lovely packaging and this is what I came up with and as you will probably be able to tell in the video, I was quite proud of this box.

There isn't much better as a crafter than when you make something that works out just perfectly, or at least I think so.

I just think it looks so pretty and elegant. My husband also pointed out that it looks like a clutch bag. That wasn't be intention but I do think he is right! What do you think?

I also love the colour combinations. The Real Red looks so bright and bold, and possibly a bit 80's? Night of Navy and Silver remain two of my favourite colour combos - my wedding colours no less.

Here is the video - hope you enjoy it and if you do give it a go, please let me know how you get on.

Today is the last day of the SU recruiting offer where you can pick any two stamp sets for free in addition to the fantastic £135 worth of product you can select in your started kit for only £99. If you would like to know more about joining Stampin' Up, please get in touch or you can sign up directly CLICK HERE

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help with anything.

Beautiful Bunch - Where have you been? Card Idea using Beautiful Bunch from Stampin' Up.

Beautiful Bunch - Where have you been? Card Idea using Beautiful Bunch from Stampin' Up.

Bit of an odd confession from me today, when I picked up the new Stampin' Up catalogue I thought Beautiful Bunch was a new set! My first thought was, oops! they've forgot to mark this as new.

It had completely passed me by and it was only when I was talking to another demo that I realised that it was in last years catalogue too! How silly am I?

Today's card uses just two colours, Early Espresso and Crushed Curry but don't they work well together?

And Candy Dots! Where have you been all my life, I only ordered them for the first time recently but can't seem to stop using them!

Inside there is space for 4 large A6/A2 cards and their envelopes, 4 cute little 3inch by 3inch note cards with their envelopes and 4 gift tags - All hand stamped of course!

Colour Combinations are:

Melon Mambo Goes Wild Handmade Card and Competition Reminder - Stampin' Up Products.

Go Wild with Melon Mambo Handmade Card Idea with Stampin' Up Products

This is a card I made a while ago but have only just given it to the friend it was made for.

It is incredibly simple to put together but I think the combination of bright Melon Mambo against the black and white zebra print makes quite an impact.

The zebra print comes from the fabulous Go Wild DSP stack, as you know I'm not usually a great DSP fan but SU have brought out some fabulous designs this year. Who would have thought two cards in succession would feature DSP!

Just want to remind you all about my competition that is running at present as a 'thanks' for everybody that has subscribed to my blog and YouTube recently. The winner will be drawn on 1st July so make sure you enter by then - good luck.

Check out what it is all about in this video:

Large Gift Bag Tutorial with Bohemian DSP from Stampin' Up, Bohemian DSP

Large Gift Bag Tutorial with Bohemian DSP from Stampin' Up, Bohemian DSP

I am not a massive DSP user, all sorts of reasons but I rarely buy packs of 12 x 12 DSP, but when I saw the new Bohemian papers I knew these would end up in my basket. I mean, come on, how pretty are these papers? I am loving the big bold patterns and bright colours.

These bags are super, super sized, super strong and most importantly super easy!

They measure 7 inches high, 6 inches wide and 3 inches deep - pretty big really.

I've used the Gold Sequin Trim to make the handles for the bag and added a little 'thanks from the Hello There Thinlits using the Gold Foil card stock. I think these go really well with the bold colours of the bag.

They went down very well with my very girly 2 year old who just loves bags of any type - I think this will be expensive as she gets older! Here she is trying to run off with them both.

If you'd like to give this a go yourself, here is a short video tutorial.

Go Wild in a Garden in Bloom Delightfully.

Go Wild in a Garden in Bloom Delightfully

Today's card came about quite by accident.

I was testing out some colour combinations for the fabulous Garden in Bloom stamp set and just happened to put these two down on top of the Go Wild DSP stack and really liked they way they looked together.

The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight with an accent in Delightful Dijon.

The card stock is Daffodil Delight with a matt of basic black for the flowers.

The card needed something else and I think those three little candy dots finish it off perfectly,

Watercolor Wings Notecard Set and Matching Gift Box, Handmade with Stampin' Up Products, Watercolour Wings

Watercolor Wings Notecard Set and Matching Gift Box, Handmade with Stampin' Up Products, Watercolour Wings

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Whether you're a regular reader of my blog or this is your first time, it is great to have you here and I hope you enjoy my project.

I've used one my favourite stamps from the new catalogue today, the fabulous Watercolor Wings, to make a cute little set of note cards and a matching gift box.

I've shown you quite a few cards made with the larger butterfly image recently so today I wanted to show you the smaller butterfly which is maybe easier to over look.

The butterfly is built up using three different stamps, the photopolymer makes this super easy.

I've used Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Blackberry Bliss.

The box is made using Wisteria Wonder card stock, the pretty little dots come from the same Watercolor Wings set.

Come back on Monday for a little video showing how to make the box, a much closer look at the cards and that triple stamping technique for the butterflies.

If you are based in South Manchester and would like to know more about Stampin' Up, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Hope to see you back here again soon but for now, please keep on hopping and see what the rest of the Pinkies have put together, the fabulous Catherine Carroll is up next.

Watercolor Wings Card Gift Box, Handmade Papercraft with Stampin Up Products, Watercolour Wings

Watercolor Wings Card Gift Box, Handmade Papercraft with Stampin Up Products

If you watched my 'how to' video on Watercolor Wings earlier this week you'll know that I promised a tutorial on how to make a gift box for the cards we made in that video.

Well here it is, scroll down for the video!

What do you think? Simple by elegant is probably how I would describe it. I've kept the theme of the butterfly wrapping around the box going, just like it did with the card.

The box easily fits 4, A6 size cards and their envelopes, I'm pretty sure it should also fit A2 US sized cards, let me know if you try it and it does.

Here is the video, it includes a sneak peak at the new stamp set, Made for You, which I used for the sentiment.

Dimensions are:

Card Stock 11 1/2 inches by 8 inches.

Score the long side at 3/4 inch, 5 3/8 inch, 6 1/8 inch, 10 3/4 inch.

Score the long side at 7 1/4 inch and then 3/4 inch after stamping.

Golden Watercolor Wings Greetings Card, Stampin' Up UK, Watercolour Wings

Golden Watercolour Wings Greetings Card, Stampin' Up UK

My love affair with WaterColor Wings shows no sign of passing. How could it not when it creates results as beautiful as this?

Here I have stamped the butterfly in Watermelon Wonder with Real Red on the edges of the wings. I've then heat embossed the third stamped image in gold for the dotty highlight on the edges of the wings and the central splat.

I then used the gorgeous matching framelits to cut our the stamped butterfly perfectly, I also die cut a butterfly shape from matching Watermelon Wonder card stock which I stuck flat to a piece of whisper white card stock with some artful Gorgeous Grunge splats across it.

The whole think is layered up on a Watermelon Wonder card base, with an extra layer of gold foil card which I think perfectly complements to the heat embossing.

Remember I have a YouTube video showing how to use the fabulous Watercolor Wings set here:

Garden in Bloom Bright and Bold Card, Stampin' Up UK

Garden in Bloom Bright and Bold Card, Stampin' Up UK

How is this for a bright and bold way to start the week?

I love the way this new set, Garden in Bloom, can be used in both bold and subtle ways and still looks gorgeous.

The colour combinations here are Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Wisteria Wonder and Blackberry Bliss.

When I first put the card together, it didn't really pop but then I had the idea of adding the little bee - can you spot him? I think he really finishes off the card beautifully and he was so easy to fussy cut using my paper snips.

Flip top 3 x 3 card gift box tutorial, handmade with Crazy About You from Stampin' Up UK

If you read my blog regularly, you will know I am a big fan of using stamps to create patterned paper. Today's project was inspired by a box I made a little while ago using the flower motive from 'Crazy About You'. You can see that project HERE. I love this stamp set and a so pleased it was carried over into the annual catalogue.

This box has a simple flip top lid and neatly houses 6, super cute
3 x 3 cards and their envelopes.

The three colour combinations used are Blackberry Bliss with Mossy Meadow (possibly the first time I have used that combination but I love it!), So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz and finally, the one I do in the video and probably my favourite, Real Red and Wild Wasabi.

I am a big fan of 3 x 3 cards, they are just the perfect size to send a little thank you note or thinking of you card. They also make great large gift tags.

Hope you enjoy the video:
