Introducing a Flurry of Wishes, card ideas using Flurry of Wishes by Stampin' Up

Introducing a Flurry of Wishes, card ideas using Flurry of Wishes by Stampin' Up

Today is a holiday in the UK, so nice not have work this morning.

My absolute favourite set from the new catalogue (it launches tomorrow!) is Flurry of Wishes - I just can't stop using it! In fact I am going to call this 'Flurry of Wishes Week' as all my projects I'll be sharing this week come from this set.

These are some of the first cards I put together using this set and its matching punch.

They are pretty simple but have lots of layering which makes them a bit more special and sometimes less is more right?

The matching punch makes layering those lovely snow flakes super simple. It coordinates with the two smallest snow flake stamps in the set.

The second largest stamp coordinates with the Flower Medallion punch, it is the one that goes with the flower in the Crazy About You set, both are in the Annual Catalogue.

I've stuck with traditional, frosty colours here, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate and Island Indigo.

I've added some highlights using the new Silver Cording Thread from the catalogue launching tomorrow.

I hope you like this project and the stamp set - you can order it from tomorrow, speaking of tomorrow, come back and see me then, I'll be sharing a video tutorial on how to make a lovely box to match these cards.

Vintage Leaves Heat Embossed Card Idea and How To using Vintage Leaves by Stampin' Up

Vintage Leaves Heat Embossed Card Idea and How To using Vintage Leaves by Stampin' Up

A little while ago I shared with you this box I made and decorated using the Vintage Leaves stamp set by Stampin' Up.

You can read that blog post and watch the video on how to make the box HERE

Quite a few people asked me to make a video showing how I made the decoration.

So that is what this post is all about.

In this case however, I used the decoration as a 'candy' to top a card.

Here is the video, I hope it is helpful to everybody that requested it. The magic of heat embossing never grows old.

Another Wonderous Wreath Card - Handmade card inspiration with Wonderous Wreath from Stampin' Up

Another Wonderous Wreath Card - Handmade card inspiration with Wonderous Wreath from Stampin' Up

Yesterday's post really got me thinking about how much I loved the Wonderous Wreath stamp set so I set about recreating this card which was one of my favourites from last year.

The colours are pretty much the same as I used on yesterday's card; Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Real Red, I've just added a Crushed Curry bow - cropped using the matching framelit.

And just how lovely is the sentiment?

Love the font and the message.

Wonderful Wonderous Wreath Card, Handmade Card Inspiration Using Wonderous Wreath from Stampin' Up

Wonderful Wonderous Wreath Card, Handmade Card Inspiration Using Wonderous Wreath from Stampin' Up

I know everybody is really excited about the new seasonal catalogue which is packed full of great Christmas products but I wanted to remind you that the annual catalogue this year features some beautiful Christmas products too - don't forget about them.

This is a card I made last year using Wonderous Wreath. I really love this three step stamping set and the matching framelit.

I've used Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow for the wreath with the berries stamped in Real Red.

The word Noel also comes in the Framelit set too.

The star's embossing folder is also so versatile. I love it and really do use it a lot.

So don't forget about the Christmas goodies in the annual catalogue too!

Vintage Leaves Hexagonal Thank You Gift Box, Tutorial using Vintage Leaves by Stampin' Up

Vintage Leaves Hexagonal Thank You Gift Box, Tutorial using Vintage Leaves by Stampin' Up

If you follow me on Facebook you might be aware that I recently promoted within Stampin' Up to the rank of Silver 1 :)

A huge thank you to everybody that has ordered through me to help me achieve this level - you know I really appreciate every single order.

But in order to reach Silver 1, you need to recruit and build a team of demonstrators as well. I wanted to make a little gift for the ladies that currently form part of my team to say thanks to them for being part of that team and choosing me as their upline.

I couldn't have achieved what I have without them.

Well, the gift I went with had a silver theme and when I was designing the box, I wanted keep the silver theme and was really pleased with how well it went together with Garden Green. It is a new colour for me, I only bought the ink pad and card stock recently - but I am loving it, I can't stop using it!

To decorate the box I inked up a new set for the first time - Vintage Leaves. It is so pretty, can't believe it has taken me this long to use it - doesn't it look stunning heat embossed like this?

There are matching framelits which makes cutting out those leaves super simple.

Intriged as to what is the box? Watch the video below to find out - and see how to make the box.

And if you really can't wait until 1st September, think about becoming a demonstrator, for just £99 you can order £135 of items of your choice including items from the new catalogue NOW! Great perk isn't it!

I recently posted out copies of the brand new Stampin' Up catalogue to my customers - if you'd like to recieve a copy please let me know and it would be my pleasure to send you one.

I wanted to pop a little gift in there too and decided to send a mini bar of chocolate so they would have something to nibble on while they looked through the catalogue.

Of course I just had to come up with a pretty way of packaging it and I took the opportunity to showcase some of the new products available to order from 1st September.

The box is clever - pull the ribbon and the chocolate bar slides out and how pretty is the ribbon - gorgeous gold and glittery.

I've also used some of the beautiful WinterWonderland DSP, it has some lovely foiled sheets - the pictures don't do it justice.

Hope you enjoy the video - click HERE to view it you're reading this in your email.

One Sheet Wonder Cards - Subtle Colours with Flower Shop by Stampin' Up

By the time you read this I should hopefully be nearly home from my whistle stop tour of the US, I'll be somewhere over the Atlantic at least. Really looking forward to get home to my little family.

Just a super quick post then to share with you this card set which I also made using the One Sheet Wonder technique I've been sharing these last few days.

I've used more subtle colours in this case, Soft Sky, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.

I think it looks like a book when stood up.

I put 4 cards inside but as you can see there is plenty of extra space.

I also made another version in 'softer' colours, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.

Hope you enjoy the video.

Flower Shop One Sheet Wonder, Card Ideas Using Flower Shop from Stampin' Up

Flower Shop One Sheet Wonder, Card Ideas Using Flower Shop from Stampin' Up

I was having a creative block last week, I was sitting at my crafting table and just couldn't come up with any new ideas - so I went back to basics and decided to make a one-sheet-wonder.

If you don't know, a one-sheet-wonder is where you basically take a full sheet of Whisper White card stock and just stamp it all over in a random pattern using as many or as few stamp sets and colours as you would like.

I went for this single image from Flower Shop and three colours, Basic Black, Pacific Point and Melon Mambo.

Once you've done all your stamping you just cut up the sheet and use them to make your cards.

These are the four that I came up with.

The fabulous sentiments come from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set - this is such a versatile, extremely useful sentiment set. Even if you aren't interested in the card kit, I would recommend you buy the stamp set on its own - it is fantastic value!

Well, after making the cards, I had a few scraps left over from my one sheet wonder and you know me - I had to make a coordinating box for them.

Come back tomorrow to see it!

Double Flip Gift Box with Watercolor Wings, Video Tutorial using Watercolor Wings by Stampin' Up

Double Flip Gift Box with Watercolor Wings, Video Tutorial using Watercolor Wings by Stampin' Up

Good morning everybody - all being well today I will be travelling from Tampa, Florida to Greensboro, North Carolina but as Tuesday is a video day I wanted to do a scheduled post for you and share this little box I made recently.

I've used Watercolor Wings, possibly my favourite stamp set ever, to make a cute little feature of the closure. I have a video on 'how to' use this stamp set HERE

I really struggled to get a good picture of it but centre of the butterflies are heat embossed.

My colour combinations are So Saffron and Smoky Slate with the butterfly stamped in So Saffron and Delightful Dijon and heat embossed in Silver.

I have also used Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe with the butterfly stamped in the same colours and then heat embossed in Gold.

The box is a really good size and could fit a lot inside.

Enjoy the video and as always if you do give it a go, I'd love to see your version.

Beautiful Bunch Gift Card and Greetings from Tampa

Beautiful Bunch Gift Card Set

Morning everybody - I'm posting a little later than usual today as I am writing this post from Tampa, Florida. I'm here on a whistle stop business trip to the US with my 'other' job.

I'm visiting 5 States over the next 5 days - I feel tired just thinking about it! I however don't feel too tired out after the long journey here from the UK because something amazing happened - I was upgraded to Business Class on the outward flight and OMG it was so nice! Going back to Economy will be so tough!

Here is a picture of me just before take off - look at how much leg room I had, my seat actually converted into a fully flat bed (almost unbelievable). I also couldn't turn down the pre-take off glass of champagne either could I??

I did take some more pictures - let me know if you'd like to see the meals we were served, this was not airplane food as I know it!

Ok - enough gushing about my flight and on to what you visit my blog for - crafting!

I recently ran a workshop for a lovely group of ladies who were new to Stamping and Stampin' Up.

We had a lovely afternoon together and they all put together one of these super cute, super simple card sets using Beautiful Bunch.

They all loved the Fun Flower Punch and just how easily it made punching out those stamped flower shapes.

They were all amazed by how easy it was to make these beautiful sets of cards.
They really are very simple to make, great for beginners. If you are based in the South Manchester area and would like to host a workshop, don't hesitate to get in touch.
I made a video on how to make the folder or the cards a few months ago.
You can check it out below or click on this link to see it on YouTube.

Beautiful Bunch Large Gift Box with Flip Lip - July Thank You Gift

Beautiful Bunch Large Gift Box with Flip Lip - July Thank You Gift

Today's project is a quite large gift box that I designed to send out to all you lovely ladies that shopped Stampin' Up with me last month.

I know they have all been recieved now, I loved all the texts and emails I got thanking me, glad I managed to surprise everybody.
That means I can share them on my blog and show you the video of how they were made.

I used the Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set and coordinating Fun Flower punch.

The two colour combo's here are Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo and my current favourite mix of Crushed Curry and Early Espresso. I also made some in Soft Sky and Pacific Point and Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow but I'd already packed these up before I thought to photograph them - doh!

So what was in them? Well you can watch the video to see everything in close up, there was a Pretty Petals DSP stack and a selection of card blanks and ribbons in the colours featured in the papers.

The video also shows just how to make the box itself, although it specifically designed for these gifts, I know it could be used for a lot of other reasons.

If you're reading this post in your email, click HERE to view the video.

So just to say a really big thank you to all my customers - so glad you liked your gifts.
