Pootles Design Team Week 5 - Balloon Builder Flower Card

Wow - The last few weeks have really flown by haven't they. I can't believe this is my last week as part of the Pootler's design team.

Each Thursday in June we have been sharing projects using the Balloon Builder stamp set.

All of my previous projects have focused on the 'balloon' aspect of this punch so I though for the last project I would try to think outside the box and focus on the 'builder' aspect.

I am pretty pleased I did as I really like the outcome.

I've focused on three purples here, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.

The stalk and leaves are Old Olive with a pop of Daffodil Delight for the centre of the flower- picked out again in the mat on the card base.

There is a lot of layering and dimension involved in this card. The larger two layers of petals are punched out using the matching balloon punch and layered up. The centre of the flower is stamped and then punched out with the 1/2 inch circle punch.

I really hope you like this project and have enjoyed the others I have shared over the last few weeks.

Pootles Design Team June, Week 4, Balloon Builder Striped Background Card

Pootles Design Team June, Week 4, Balloon Builder Striped Background Card

Wow - another week has flown under and it is time for another project using the Balloon Builder stamp set.

How do you like the crisp striped backgrounds?

They are so easy to create - I've even made a video to show you just how easy, click HERE to view it.

The stripes were actually inspired by the decoration for our baby's nursery. A few weeks ago, my husband I painted some very nautical blue stripes on the wall and it gave me the idea of transferring the idea to cards.

Here is my husband putting some finishing touches to the wall.

My backgrounds are made using Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight.

In-Colour Ribbon Shares Are Here! UK and Europe :)

As you have seen from my recent videos, I really love the new in-colour ribbons and a lot of you have been asking if I will be offering ribbon shares this year.

Well, your wish is my command and I am delighted to be offering ribbon shares of both the Ruched Ribbon in the new 2016-2018 in-colours and the Mini-Striped Ribbon in the 2015-2017 in-colours.

What is a ribbon share?

Each year SU bring out a selection of fabulous new ribbons which coordinate perfectly with the SU card stock, DSP, ink pads etc.

To buy a reel of each ribbon represents a significant investment so I make it much more affordable to try each type of ribbon by offering a ribbon share.

I buy a reel of each ribbon and then package up the ribbon into smaller packages which are sent to each member of the share.

I have a little video explaining more HERE

In the share you will recieve approx 1m of each type of ribbon.

1m of Ruched Ribbon in:
Dapper Denim
Emerald Envy
Flirty Flamingo
Peek-a-boo Peach
Sweet Sugar Plum

and

1m of Mini-Striped Ribbon in:
Tip-Top-Taupe
Cucumber Crush
Watermelon Wonder
Mint Macaron
Delightful Dijon

So you will get 10m of ribbon in total.

The price per share including UK postage is just £9.00.

Click HERE to order your share.

If you would like me to post these to France, Germany, the Netherlands or Austria, please get in touch via craftycarolinecreates@gmail.com and I will send you a revised invoice.

Unfortunately SU rules means I can only send shares to these 5 countries.

Thanks for your support

Chest Opening Gift Box - Video Tutorial Using Falling Flowers by Stampin' Up

Chest Opening Gift Box - Video Tutorial Using Falling Flowers by Stampin' Up

I am really enjoying crafting at the moment, helped in no small part by all of the fabulous new Stampin' Up goodies I have to play with right now :)

This project features two of my favourites, the gorgeous new mini-striped ribbon and the fabulous Falling Flowers Stamp Set.

I was so disappointed when Flowering Flourishes retired but I knew SU wouldn't let me down and the wonderful Falling Flowers is certainly a worthy successor!

I also love the new ribbon - a few of you have asked me about ribbon shares and I will be putting up details about this very shortly.

Anyway - enough waffling, back to today's project, it is a very elegant but good sized gift box that has a bit of a wow with the opening - it is hard to explain but check out my video HERE and you will see what I mean.

My colour combos are Mint Macaron with Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder with Delightful Dijon.

I wasn't sure how the latter two would go together but I think they work really well - what do you think? The Delightful Dijon takes on an almost gold look and the combination is actually quite regal - I think anyway.

The box might look complicated but it honestly isn't - I hope you will give it a go.

The video tutorial is HERE

Pootles Design Team June, Week 3, Balloon Builder

Pootles Design Team June, Week 3, Balloon Builder

These Thursdays are rolling around quickly aren't they. Another Thursday and another Pootler's Design Team project from me.

Each Thursday in June, myself and 4 other much more talented ladies are sharing project ideas with you using the same Stampin' Up Stamp Set - Balloon Builder!

This week I have created a little set of four gift tags using a mix of pinks, reds and purples, can you name them all? Leave me a comment below with your guess and I'll pick a random winner from the correct answers to win this set plus some other goodies x x I'll post worldwide x x

I also made a cute little wallet to turn the tags into a gift set.

The wallet is based on a design I created last year - it is really easy to make and yet looks very effective and I know little sets like this go down really well at craft fairs.

If you'd like to make your own version, I have an old YouTube video showing the technique HERE.

The sentiments are created using the new 'Designer Tin of Cards' set - a really good value mixed sentiments set.

I hope you like it and come back to see me soon for some more Stampin' Up Inspiration.

Perfectly Wrapped Fold Flat Gift Box, Video Tutorial Using Stampin' Up Products

Perfectly Wrapped Fold Flat Gift Box, Video Tutorial Using Stampin' Up Products

I have said it before, but honestly one of the highlights of month is designing the gift box for my customer thank you gifts.

Every month, I send out a small gift to all of the lovely customers that shopped Stampin' Up with me the previous month.

This month everybody recieved a pack of Stampin' Up Markers in the 2015-2017 in-colours and pack of the brand new doillies in the same colours.

This is the box I designed to house the markers. I've used the lovely new Perfectly Wrapped stamp set to create a designer series paper look for the front of the box.

I am trying to be super organised at the moment just in case my July due baby decides to come early, so I designed this box to lie flat for easy storage.

I've already started on making the gift packaging for June orders and have organised a little helper so that shoppers this month will still be sure to get their gifts.

The colour scheme is Dapper Denim (as I said yesterday, my favourite new in-colour), Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry.

The sentiment also comes from the very versatile Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.

And of course I had to make some matching cards.

I used the Stampin' Up note cards for these - makes card making very quick and simple.

I hope you like the cards and the box.

If you would like to make your own version, you can click HERE to view my latest YouTube video.

Pootles Design Team June, Week 2, Balloon Builder

Well it is Thursday again and that means for a second week I am honored to be a member of the Pootler's Design Team.

Each Thursday in June, myself and 4 other much more talented ladies will be sharing project ideas with you using the same Stampin' Up Stamp Set - Balloon Builder!

When set a challenge like this, it is very tempting to try and create something totally different each week - and that is what I tried to do but I needed to make a card for my mum's birthday and rather than create something very different, I decided to go with a variation on the card I shared with you last week, click HERE to see that card.

I've gone monochrome with Dapper Denim for this card - currently my favourite of the new In-Colours for 2016-2018, but that does tend to change daily!

Just like last weeks card, it features a little pop up surprise in side - click HERE to view an old tutorial of mine on how to make this type of card.

I added a little more interest by heat embossing the sentiment on the front and inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how an initial concept can evolve into a different card.

Come back next week and I will have something very different for you - I promise x x

Black and Gold Gift Box Using Pop of Paradise by Stampin' Up - Video Tutoral

Thank you to everybody that has placed orders with me from the new catalogue - I really appreciate you choosing to order through me and am always excited to see which products you pick.

Today's project uses the new Pop of Paradise stamp set - which I really love and it seems a lot of you are too!

I bet you will start seeing flamingos and pineapples everywhere if you start looking now.

These little boxes were designed to house little gifts I was sending out to my team members in recognition of their recent successes.

I love the effect of the gold embossing on the black card stock and the Melon Mambo thick bakers twine, another new catalogue addition, adds the perfect pop of colour.

If you'd like to see how I made the box, I have a YouTube video for you HERE.
