Simply Elegant Gift Box using Petite Petals by Stampin Up - Video Tutorial

Simply Elegant Gift Box using Petite Petals by Stampin Up - Video Tutorial

Usually when I sit down to make a box, I have something in mind that I want to use it for. When it came to this box however I was just playing with some different ideas and really liked how this one turned out.

It is a pretty simple design but to me there is just something about it that makes it feel really professional, elegant and luxurious. The sort of box you'd expect to find expensive chocolates or fancy soaps inside.

After I made it, as I taking the pictures, I also realised it would be perfect for a set of 3 x 3 inch cards and envelopes.

I purposefully kept the decoration simple, it would be great for a new crafter with limited stash, one colour ink pad and one colour card stock and you are ready to go but the effect is pretty lovely.

Of course you can step the decoration up if you want - it would also be perfect for Christmas.

Wedding Card using Rose Wonder by Stampin' Up

Wedding Card using Rose Wonder by Stampin' Up

A quick post today to share with you this card I made for my cousin who was married recently.

It uses one of my favourite stamp sets and die combinations of the moment - Rose Wonder and Rose Garden.

I just love the big die cut rose in that set - it is huge!

Here I have cut it out in Smokey Slate and layered on a Elegant Eggplant mat.

I also really love the sentiments in this set - firstly the way the general greetings fit perfectly inside the stamped frame and then secondly the way this cuts out beautifully using the matching framelit - instant elegance.

Secondly I love the words of the longer sentiments like this one I stamped inside the card - perfect for a couple who met working for a Christian charity in Uganda.

New Baby Thank You Cards using Brushwork Alphabet by Stampin' Up

New Baby Thank You Cards using Brushwork Alphabet by Stampin' Up

We felt completely overwhelmed by love and good wishes following Alex's arrival last month.

Thank you to everybody that has send me a message of congratulations - it really means so much and I am incredibly touched.

I wanted to send some cards out to family and friends to say thank you for all the lovely cards and presents we were inundated with.

Now, for a little confession, in the fuzzy first few sleep deprieved weeks of being a new mum again, I actually considered buying some cards to send !!!!!

I really liked the cards that used a photo montage but gosh - were they expensive. I just couldn't bring myself to buy some.

I decided to try and replicate the look myself.

I put together a montage of some of our favourite pictures using a free App and then printed these off onto photo paper.

The picture was matted on Pool Party card stock on a Bermuda Bay card base.

I inked up my new Brushwork Alphabet stamp set for the first time to print the word Alex.

I must say I am really loving this stamp set - very easy to line up the letters and the result is very elegant.

I fussy cut out his name - popped it up on dimensionals in the middle of the picture and voila, 20 personal thank you cards in less than an hour at a fraction of the cost of buying them ready made.

Three Segment Gift Box - Video Tutorial Using Stampin' Up Products.

Three Segment Gift Box - Video Tutorial Using Stampin' Up Products.

I think I say it every month but I am always incredibly honoured when ever anybody chooses me as their demonstrator - it really does make my day.

I like to show my appreciation by sending a gift out to each customer and hand making some matching packaging.

The thank for you gift for July customers was a selection of Bakers Twine spool plus a pack of Stampin' Up note cards and envelopes - perfect for making quick cards.

I designed a box to hold the Bakers Twine but it will work well for all sorts of gifts.

The colours I've used match the Bakers Twine - Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and my current fave colour, Emerald Envy.

The lid is decorated using the simple flower stamp from the ever versatile Swirly Bird.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder set - I love the little frame which cuts it out perfectly with the matching Rose Garden framelits.

If you would like to make your own version, check out my YouTube video HERE.

Well Done Gifts using Birthday Blooms by Stampin' Up

Well Done Gifts using Birthday Blooms by Stampin' Up

Joining Stampin' Up as a demonstrator was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. As well as getting me access to amazing crafting products at a great discounted price, it has also allowed me to grow a small business and introduced me to some fantastic friends.

I love it when others join my Stampin' Up team as I am always excited for the benefits they will soon be enjoying too.

Some ladies that joined my team recently have really hit the ground running with their business and I wanted to send them a little gift to say well done on their first fantastic months as Stampin' Up demonstrators.

Of course I had to make some special packaging to go with their gifts but with a new baby, crafting time is pretty sparse at the moment - but one thing I love about SU is the way you can get stunning results in next to no time.

I used tone on tone stamping and the very pretty Birthday Blooms stamp set to create a gorgeous gift tag and matching tag.

Super quick but super effective - don't you think!

I know they went down well with the recipients.

Hexagonal Gift Box, Another Version with Moroccan Nights by Stampin' Up

Hexagonal Gift Box, Another Version with Moroccan Nights by Stampin' Up

Thank you all for your kind thoughts on the box above that I shared on Friday. I'm really glad you like it. If you missed my original post, check it out HERE.

Today I am sharing another version of this box that I made recently when another of my wonderful team members promoted. Kim is doing really well growing her business and I am so pleased that it is going so well for her.

The lovely lantern on the front comes from the Moroccan Nights stamp set. I've gone for a combination of bright colours for this box and allowed them to be the main feature of the box.

I've used Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Melon Mambo.

The layered lid is created using the great Layering Circles Dies. 16 circular dies, cleverly designed to layer perfectly - I just love them.

I added a small pull loop to the top of this box which I think fits in well with the 'moorish' look of the box.

I hope you like it - if you would like to make your own version, check out this video I shared previously.

Hexagonal Lidded Gift Box - Video Tutorial using Garden in Bloom by Stampin' Up

Hexagonal Lidded Gift Box - Video Tutorial using Garden in Bloom by Stampin' Up

I love sharing the benefits of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator  and I am always especially thrilled when somebody decides to join my team as a demonstrator.

One of my lovely team members, Rachael, recently hit a promotion mile stone so of course a little gift was in order to celebrate.

Rachael is a really talented crafter and she shares a lot of her creations on YouTube too. Head over and check out her channel HERE.

Once I had decided to send a selection of ribbons, I set about designing a special box to hold them and this hexagonal box fitted them all perfectly.

The weather was absolutely perfect when I was making this box which inspired me to dig out the beautiful Garden in Bloom stamp set. It just says summer to me.

Of course, I have a video tutorial if you'd like to see the box in a bit more detail and of course, make your own version.
